DESCRIPTION:A Relay For Life - PAINT THE TOWN PURPLE Presentation and Lunch Networking Event for the Fuquay Varina Chamber of Commerce members and other local businesses will be held at the Bass Lake Park & Retreat Center\, 900 Bass Lake Road Holly Springs on Thursday April 14 at 12-1pm. Email sol.halliburton@cancer.org to CONFIRM your attendance. Put on subject line: Confirmed # of guests for PTTP networking event. Then in email content: provide names of guests\, and Company or Organization name\, phone number and email address.\n\n\n\nHolly Springs and Fuquay Varina businesses\, Schools\, residential villages and churches will be wearing their creative hats as they PAINT THE TOWN PURPLE from May 13 leading up to the Relay For Life event on May 21-22\, 2011.\n\n\n\nWith a bit of imagination and excitement\, the Towns of Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina will be unified in support of the American Cancer Society. We will see the town decorated with purple bows\, streamers\, balloons\, lights\, fence\, mailbox and light post wraps\, purple flowers/plants\, Vehicle banner or wraps\, Employee PURPLE dress down week\, and anything creative put up within\, in front or outside of their office\, home\, building or store. The participant with the best PURPLE concept and decoration will be announced at the Relay event on May 21\, 2011\, and will be awarded a Relay For Life Event Sponsorship equivalent to $1000. Participating businesses & groups will be announced on the 1st week of May. They will extend run special events and/or special promos May 13-22 where a percentage of proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Relay For Life teams can also organize any PURPLE-related fundraiser within this week.\n\n\n\nRelay For Life of South Wake (Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina)\, an event sponsored by both towns\, will be held on May 21-22 at the Parrish Womble Park\, 1201 Grigsby Avenue in Holly Springs\, NC. Relay For Life is a signature event of the American Cancer Society where we CELEBRATE survivorship and life\, REMEMBER our loved ones\, and FIGHT BACK by spreading the word and funding research.
